Representative Miller Honors Gillespie Eye Openers and Leadership In Austin
State Representative Doug Miller, representing much of the Texas Hill Country including Comal, Bandera, Kendall and Gillespie counties introduced a House Resolution Thursday honoring youth and adult leaders from Gillespie County.
House Resolution 376 honors local leaders from Leadership Gillespie County for their drive to foster the development of Fredericksburg and surrounding communities. Leadership Gillespie is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce, initiating the first class in 1994, and graduating 359 alumni as of 2010.
"I am proud to introduce this Resolution today honoring these fine ladies and gentlemen," said Miller, "their aptitude and desire for personal and communal success is inspiring."
The Gillespie Leadership Program is designed to expand the networks of potential future leaders of the Gillespie area, enhance their knowledge of local business, schools, government, and organizations, and educate participants about various aspects of Fredericksburg and surrounding communities.
