Miller discusses the state budget with community leaders during a Texas Hill Country listening tour

January 04, 2011

State Representative Doug Miller toured the four counties he represents in District 73, including Comal, Kendall, Bandera and Gillespie.  Miller met with Texas Hill Country officials during a 12-hour, 300-mile tour  to discuss their area's concerns and agendas for the 82nd Texas Legislature.

"It is imperative we have an accurate perspective of the constituents we represent as the legislative session begins," said Miller. "The best way to gain that perspective is to get out and talk to county leaders and constituents across each of our communities."  Fredericksburg Mayor Tom Musselman echoed this philosophy with encouragement to Miller: "Thank you for the job you've done for us.  I hope you will remain our Representative.  I believe in my heart you  represent us more than anyone else could, or has in the past, because you have had such an active presence in Fredericksburg."

Miller urges constituents in Comal, Kendall, Bandera and Gillespie counties to contact his District or Capitol office with interests, concerns, news or items of interest.
